Technology Platforms at the University of Freiburg
Technology Platform Proteomics
This university-wide technology platform provides a wide array of state-ofthe-art equipment for proteome analysis both as services and in the form of scientific collaboration projects.
Freiburg Center for Data Analysis and Modelling (FDM)
The FDM harbours theoretical scientists from the fields of statistics, stochastics, and dynamical systems with members from the Faculties of Mathematics and Physics, Medicine, Environment and Natural Resources, and Economics and Behavioral Sciences. The concept of the Center is to bring together theoreticians from different fields, let them interact and thereby develop new mathematical data analysis and modelling methods, and apply them in interdisciplinary collaborations with data generating groups.
Microscopy and Image Analysis Platform (MIAP)
The Microscopy and Image Analysis Platform (MIAP) Freiburg, was founded in 2016 during the DFG call "Gerätezentren - Core facilities" to form a highly competitive joint network for scientific infrastructure of imaging based life science sites in Freiburg, Basel and Strasbourg. As competitive and advanced technology platform, MIAP is embedded in the "Forschungsinfrastrukturen" of Freiburg University.
The Freiburg Galaxy Project
Galaxy is an open source, web-based platform for data intensive biomedical research. It makes computational bioinformatics applications accessible to users lacking programming experience by enabling them to easily specify parameters for running tools and workflows. Galaxy provides access to a powerful analysis infrastructure through the web, and allows for reproducible and transparent data analysis.
