MipTec is the premiere European conference and exhibition encompassing innovative approaches to high quality science and technology for efficient drug discovery. Part of this conference is also a large-scale poster session. More than 260 poster were submitted and exhibited at the last MipTec

Erik Christen and Michael Kämpf, PhD students from the ETH Zurich who are cooperating with Prof. Wilfried Weber´s Synthetic Biology research group at BIOSS, successfully presented their poster "Drug-sensing hydrogels for the inducible release of biopharmaceuticals".

It won second prize.

The mission of MipTec is to bring together scientists from all fields who are involved in drug discovery at pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academic labs and technology providers and to create an atmosphere where ideas and experiences can be shared and discussed.

BIOSS was also there with an exhibition stand providing information about our research program and career opportunities.
