| Functional Description |
KikGR1 emits bright green fluorescence that can be irreversibly converted to red fluorescence. The red fluorescence is comparable in intensity to the green fluorescence and is stable under usual aerobic conditions. This green-to-red photoconversion is highly sensitive to irradiation with UV or violet light (350-420 nm). Maximal illumination results in a robust increase in the ratio of red-to-green signal. KikGR1 is several-fold brighter and more efficiently photoconverted than our other Green-red photo- converting protein, CoralHueTM Kaede. CoralHue pKiKGR1 forms a tetramer(Further information see: http://www.mblintl.com/product/am-v0083).
Genes of interest can be cloned into the MCS and will be expressed as fusions to the C-terminus of KikGR1.(source: MBL) |
